Victoria Powell


Victoria Powell, RN, CCM, LNCC, CNLCP, CLCP MSCC, CBIS, CEASII is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of professional nursing experience and a provider of nursing education and consulting services for nearly 20 years. Powell founded Remington Publishing which produces high quality books, tools and resources for health care and medical-legal professionals. In addition to works produced via Remington Publishing, Ms. Powell has been published in numerous professional journals, has authored and contributed to text books in the field. Ms. Powell is also the founder and President of VP Medical Consulting offering medical case management services for catastrophically injured individuals and provides Life Care Plans for both plaintiff and defense with an emphasis on amputation injury.

Ms. Powell is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (previously serving as President), American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, Case Management Society of America, International Academy of Rehab Professionals, and is a lifetime Hall of Fame Recipient for her contributions to the National Nurses in Business Association. Ms. Powell provides expert witness testimony in the area of life care planning. Powell has a lifelong dedication to learning and holds specialty certifications in Case Management, Legal Nurse Consulting, Life Care Planning, Medicare Set Aside, and Ergonomic Assessments.

Joan Schofield


Joan Schofield, RN, BSN, MBA, CNLCP has over thirty years’ experience within nursing and the healthcare industry, including bedside nursing, hospital and physician practice management, catastrophic injury case management and as a life care planning expert. She is the Founder and President of Med-View which provides catastrophic injury case management, pediatric case management for Trust companies, legal nurse consulting and nurse life care planner services for both Plaintiff and Defense throughout the Southwest since 1996. She is seasoned in deposition and trial testimony and speaks nationally on nursing and life care planning topics. Joan Schofield has particular expertise in pediatric life care planning and costing methodologies.

Ms. Schofield is a Past-President of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners™ and a contributing author to A Core Curriculum for Nurse Life Care Planning as well as Nurse Life Care Planning: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2015. She has served on multiple AANLCP Conference Planning Committees throughout the years.

Stacy brings 15 years of global event planning experience and knowledge for corporate, association, diplomatic, political, social and educational functions. Additionally, she has a background in recruiting, as well as sales management, operations, general and regional management.

Stacy consults with start-ups and event companies and provides in depth exploration research. She has a comprehensive understanding of multi-national VIP decorum & protocol and has worked with actors, celebrities, diplomats, royalty and heads of state.

Nani Bergman

Nani Bergman

Nani Bergman is a Registered Nurse licensed by the state of California and a certified life care planner holding the (CLCP) title.

She became one of the youngest life care planners in the USA, which does not mean less experienced. Nani has a vast experience in the clinical field of nursing. She holds 2 bachelors’ degrees and an MBA. Her passion for helping the individuals who have experienced catastrophic injuries led her to become a Certified Nurse Care Life Planner. Nani was trained and is part of a continuing education program at the most respected Life Care Planning education companies in the United States, FIG Education.

Nani Bergman earned her Bachelor in Nursing from one of the top nursing schools in the country, the University of Oklahoma. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, which is tremendously valuable while working with her patients. Nani is able to perform an assessment comfortably in any of these 3 languages. She holds multiple degrees including an MBA.

Nani has a wide range of hands on experience from hospital operating rooms and private surgery centers to assessing skilled nursing facility patients for government assistance programs. She started her career on the cardiac floor of Centinela Hospital in Inglewood, CA before being selected among thousands of applicants to join one of the top operating room training courses in the United States at Providence Saint Johns in Santa Monica, CA. Nani underwent 6 months of intense surgery training from theory to practice. She has also being responsible for planning and organizing hospice care for terminal patients for a southern California hospice in the past.

In addition to life care planning, Nani provides her services as a Registered Nurse to the State of California, assessing and reporting on the current level of care the patients in skilled nursing facilities are receiving on behalf of California Department of Health Care Services, Assisted Living Waiver Program

LaToya Lowery

LaToya Lowery, RN, BSN, MBA, CCM, CNLCP has been a member of AANLCP since 2014. She is a past member of the Journal and Outreach Committees. LaToya also served as Treasurer of the Association from 2017-2019.

Andrea Nebel

Andrea Nebel, RN, BSN, CNLCP received her nursing degree in Switzerland, starting her career at the University Hospital of Zürich. She has 25 years of experience holding various clinical, educational and management positions in the health care industry. She moved to San Diego, California in 2004, and while continuing to work with oncology patients, became an Oncology Certified Nurse through the American Board of Nursing Specialties in 2008.

Ms. Nebel has been a practicing Nurse Life Care Planner and Case Manager since 2015, providing services as a retained expert for both plaintiff and defense, including deposition and trial testimony as well as managing care for catastrophically injured individuals.

Jessica Hanley Urie

Jessica Urie, RN, BSN, CLCP is a registered nurse with over 20 years of nursing expertise. Jessica’s experience includes adult and pediatric emergency/trauma medicine, clinical trials and research, endpoint adjudication, case management, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and education. Jessica has also been published for her work in the area of CardioVascular research. She is the founder and owner of JHU Consulting LLC.

Jessica is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and the International Academy of Rehab Professionals. Jessica is serving on the AANCLP Conference Planning Committee as well as a member of the AANLCP Journal of Live Care Planning editorial board.

Nancy Hamady

Nancy Hamady

Nancy Hamady RN, BSN, CRRN, CCM, CLCP, MSCC, CNLCP is the owner of Quality Rehabilitation & Consulting Services, LLC established in 2004. Nancy received her RN in 1980 and her BSN in 2020. Experience includes oncology/hematology, case management, workers’ compensation, Medicare set-aside allocations, home health infusion therapy, utilization review, and life care planning. Completed certification in life care planning in 2002 and nurse life care planning in 2015. Joined AANLCP in 2009 and served as secretary for AANLCP from 2011 – 2013, and President from 2013-2015.

Linda Schwieger

Linda Schwieger, RN, CNLCP, MSCC, CBIS of St. Louis, MO has worked as a nursing professional since 1991 in the areas of telemetry, emergency department, home health care case management and as a worker’s compensation telephonic nurse case manager. After obtaining specialized education in Legal Nurse Consulting in 2002, she began working for Klosterman and Associates, where she remains employed. That year she was also credentialed as a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner. She obtained certification in Medicare Set-Aside Allocations in 2005 and became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist in 2014.

Ms. Schwieger was involved in planning the AANLCP National Education Conferences in 2005-2007, including two years as the Chairperson and served on the Outreach Committee during 2016-2017. She has been a national member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants since 2003 and served in various capacities on the board of the St. Louis Chapter including President. She is also a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals.

Ms. Schwieger has been a speaker for attorney groups in MO and IL addressing Legal Nurse Consulting and Certified Nurse Life Care Planning roles in medical-legal cases. She has also been a presenter for the St. Louis Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants and during the 2009 AANLCP National Conference.
