Jessica Hanley Urie
Conference Committee Chair

Jessica Urie, RN, BSN, CLCP, LCP-C is a registered nurse with over 20 years of nursing expertise. Jessica’s experience includes emergency/trauma medicine, clinical trials, endpoint adjudication, case management, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and education.  Jessica has also been published for her work in the area of CardioVascular research.  She is the founder and owner of JHU Consulting LLC.

Jessica is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and the International Academy of Rehab Professionals.  Jessica was a member of the AANLCP Journal of Life Care Planning editorial board and AANCLP Conference Planning Committee in 2021.  Jessica is currently serving as the 2022 AANCLP Conference Planning Committee Chair. 

Lubna Tabbassum

Lubna has been with the AANLCP Convention committee for three years. She works as the AANLCP website designer and CRM Expert for AANLCP.

Cheryl Halkowicz
RN, MS, CLCP, CMSP

Cheryl Halkowicz, RN, MS, CLCP, CMSP had wanted to be a nurse since her early candy striper years in a large hospital in central Pennsylvania hospital. Cheryl’s first clinical experience, as a primary rehabilitation nurse in Michigan, served as the foundation for her professional practice. Since then, Cheryl has practiced in many settings and loved each one. She has been a life care planner since 2016 and has served on prior conference planning committees.  

Kimberly Mullis
RN, CNLCP, MSCC

Kim has established her career as a Registered Nurse, Certified Nurse Life Care Planner, Medicare Set-Aside Allocator, and Case Manager with over a decade of clinical experience in the medical field and in the continuum of care. Kim’s clinical background specialties include cardiovascular medicine, critical care, medical-surgical, oncology, and care transitions in the field of homecare and hospice. Kim also served as the Chairman of the Professional Practice Counsel while at Holy Spirit Hospital. Additionally, she presented on Traumatic Brain Injury at the 2020 AANLCP preconference and peer reviewed chapters on spinal cord injury/special senses of AANLCP second edition of A Core Curriculum for Nurse Life Care Planning.

In 2020, Kim was selected to join the clinical team at American Life Care Planning overseeing the process, management, and implementation of Life Care Plan and Medical Cost Projection reports.

Prior to her current position, she served two years as The Director of FIG Services. As the Director, she assisted with the development of referrals (consultant & expert witness), case guidance of referrals, selection/training/mentoring of subcontractors in the above-mentioned roles, and quality assurance of each case. She completed medical damages reports including Nurse Life Care Plans, Medical Cost Projections, Medicare Set-Asides, and Medical Record Reviews. In addition, she is also the Founder and CEO of NLCP, Inc. and directs all functions of the company.

Kim enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling, and participating in outdoor sports. She remains passionate about serving others and plans to volunteer for International Medical Missions in the future.  

Shaun Marie Sever
RN, BSN, MACJ, ANLC, LCP-C

Shaun Marie Sever, RN, BSN, MACJ, ALNC, LCP-C, is the founder and owner of SPLNC & Associates, LLC, Legal Nurse Consulting. Shaun is a Registered Nurse and is certified as an Advanced Legal Nurse Consultant. Her education includes a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and an Associate Degree in Nursing.

Shaun has nursing experience since 1996 including IV Infusion, Medical Surgical, Emergency Department, and Charge Nurse. Shaun is a retired Sergeant First Class with 20 years of service and an honorable discharge. She is also a Medical Surgical Level I, II and Level III Adjunct Instructor. The U.S. military code is honesty, integrity, and loyalty. These life lessons are tightly integrated into the SPLNC code of business conduct. It is the basis for the highest quality work product, and respect for the law firms we work with and the clients they represent.

Andrea Krog Goicoechea
RN, MSN, NP

Andrea is proud to support the work of nurse life care planners and hopes to certify as an NLCP this year. She came to the specialty by way of legal nurse consulting, with the help of wonderful mentors. She has participated in the Journal of Nurse Life Care Planning committee, as well as this year’s Conference committee.
